Goa, March 28 -- A powerful storm that struck the Maye constituency on Tuesday, March 25, left significant destruction in its wake, with Maye and Chodan villages bearing the brunt of the damage. Maye MLA Premendra Shet visited the affected areas to assess the situation, revealing the extent of the destruction.
Several homes in both villages were severely impacted, with uprooted trees falling on at least six houses, damaging roofs and structures. Additionally, the storm caused significant disruption to the electrical infrastructure, with over 40 electricity poles in Chodan village damaged. The fallen poles led to the destruction of power lines, leaving many households without electricity even three days after the storm.
