Goa, April 9 -- The Ponda Municipal Council has launched a crackdown on improper sewage connections after sewage water was found flowing into a local nullah. Chief Officer Yogiraj Gosavi announced that notices have been issued to 88 buildings, encompassing around 1,600 apartments, demanding that they install proper sewage connections.
This action comes after the council recently disconnected 15-20 improper sewage connections in an effort to prevent environmental contamination. Gosavi emphasized that all buildings must comply with the regulations and connect to the designated sewage systems to avoid further environmental damage.
