Goa, May 19 -- Residents of Pomburpa-Olaulim have raised serious concerns over the rising number of large-scale construction projects being approved by the local panchayat, despite the village struggling with basic infrastructure issues.

At a gram sabha held on Sunday, locals questioned the panchayat's decision to continue granting permissions for mega housing and commercial developments while the village faces an acute water crisis and lacks adequate electricity and waste management facilities.
