Residents of Borim and Shiroda have expressed serious concern over potential health hazards following the release of massive clouds of polluted smoke from an iron manufacturing establishment in the area. Social activist Sandeep Parkar has lodged a complaint with the Goa State Pollution Control Board, expressing apprehension that smoke emanating from the chimney of an iron manufacturing company in Borim may pose a significant threat to the health of citizens living in nearby residential areas.
