Goa, June 4 -- A drain located adjacent to the popular jogging track in Fatorda has become heavily polluted with sewage, turning into a breeding ground for mosquitoes and a potential source of serious diseases.

The stagnant, contaminated water emits a foul odor that affects both fitness enthusiasts using the jogging track and locals resting on the nearby concrete benches. Health experts warn that prolonged exposure to such conditions could lead to the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses and other health hazards.

Residents and visitors urge local authorities to urgently address this environmental and public health issue by cleaning and maintaining the drainage system to safeguard the community.
