Goa, Dec. 20 -- The Zilla Panchayat polls in Goa came to an end on Saturday, marking the completion of voting for 50 seats across the State. Authorities reported a smooth polling process with no major incidents of violence or misconduct. A total of 226 candidates are in the fray, with the fate of all contenders now sealed in the ballot boxes. The final voter turnout is yet to be officially declared. Counting of votes will be held on December 22. Querim emerged as the constituency with the highest turnout at 82.64 per cent, while Navelim recorded the lowest at 49.20 per cent.
