Goa, Oct. 18 -- Police have arrested Raju Bora, a safety officer from Assam, in connection with the deadly explosion at Vijay Marine Shipyard that claimed two lives yesterday. The arrest was carried out by the Maina-Curtorim Police as investigations focus on potential negligence that may have led to the incident.

Authorities are probing whether safety protocols were ignored during repair and welding work at the shipyard. Further investigations are ongoing to determine accountability for the explosion that shook the industrial area, causing widespread concern among workers and local residents.
