Goa, Jan. 22 -- South Goa Superintendent of Police Tikam Singh Verma on Wednesday said that the police act promptly whenever information is received about Dhirio, an illegal bullfighting practice, by immediately dispatching teams to the location to stop the activity.

Addressing concerns over the recurrence of such incidents, the SP said that police personnel are sent to the spot without delay upon receiving specific inputs. He added that whenever such illegal activities are detected, cases are registered in accordance with the law.
