As of July 25, 2025, he has completed 4,078 consecutive days in office, surpassing the record held by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who served 4,077 days from January 24, 1966, to March 24, 1977. Modi now stands as India's second longest consecutively serving Prime Minister, behind only Jawaharlal Nehru.
