Goa, July 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the passing of legendary centenarian marathoner Fauja Singh, who died at the age of 114 following a tragic road accident. Singh, admired globally for his remarkable spirit and dedication to fitness, was struck by an unidentified vehicle while out for a walk in his native village in Punjab's Jalandhar district on Monday.

In a heartfelt message on X, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to Singh's inspiring life and his role in encouraging young people to embrace physical well-being.
