India, Feb. 12 -- A 32-year-old man was injured after a Rajasthan-registered pickup vehicle rammed into his motorcycle at Anmod Ghat on the Belgaum-Goa Highway on Wednesday.

The injured rider has been identified as Santosh Patil. According to sources, the impact of the collision caused the pickup to overturn on the highway, creating panic among commuters in the area.

Local residents and passersby rushed to the spot and managed to detain the driver of the pickup before handing him over to the authorities.

Patil sustained injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to Belgaum for medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash....
