Goa, July 11 -- The Pernem Police have registered an FIR against six unidentified individuals for allegedly assaulting a taxi driver with a sharp weapon in a brutal attack that left him with serious injuries on his head, shoulder, and forearm. The assault reportedly took place during an attempted taxi theft, and police believe the attackers acted with intent to kill.
According to officials, the victim was ambushed by the accused, who remain at large. The nature of the injuries suggests a premeditated attack. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder and robbery.
