Goa, Dec. 19 -- Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant asserted that schemes aimed at empowering people would propel the BJP to victory in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections. He said welfare measures rolled out in rural and panchayat areas have directly benefited citizens and strengthened the party's connect at the grassroots level. Sawant noted that several development initiatives undertaken by the state government have contributed to economic growth, especially in villages. He further said that schemes supporting agriculture, horticulture, and dairy farming have created new opportunities for locals.
