Goa, Oct. 4 -- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar strongly condemned the barring of local Goan media from covering Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to the state. Patkar called the move "undemocratic" and a "direct insult to the people of Goa."
He criticised the BJP for avoiding questions on issues like rising unemployment, Mhadei diversion, land scams, declining health and education systems, and threats to Goa's cultural identity. "When Amit Shah visits, the local press - the true voice of Goans - is denied entry. Silencing the press is an assault on democracy," Patkar said.
