Goa, Sept. 18 -- Goa has entered a new phase in its higher education sector with the establishment of Parul University as the state's first private university. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that two more private universities have also been approved, taking the total count to three.

Highlighting the state government's commitment to expanding educational opportunities, CM Sawant further revealed that Goa is open to allowing international universities to set up campuses in the state. He said such initiatives would enhance Goa's academic ecosystem and provide students with world-class opportunities without having to leave the state.
