According to French media, the accused circulated misinformation alleging that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman born male and that she was originally named Jean-Michel Trogneux - the name of her elder brother. The online campaign also targeted the 24-year age gap between Brigitte Macron and President Emmanuel Macron, with some comments making offensive and inappropriate comparisons.
