Goa, Nov. 29 -- Panjim is witnessing alarming levels of air pollution, with the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) nearing 200-classified as "very unhealthy" and close to hazardous levels. Advocates and citizens have expressed growing concern over the impact on public health.
Advocate Amit Palekar commented on the situation, stating, "Goa has a BJP triple-engine government, yet Panjim's air quality is deteriorating. The air we once breathed freely now requires us to buy purifiers to stay safe. Rising pollution and unregulated construction are severely affecting air quality, beginning to impact the health of Goans."
