Goa, Oct. 20 -- During the ongoing Narkasur celebrations in Mala, Panjim Police faced resistance from a group of local youths while attempting to seize sound equipment allegedly being used to play music beyond permitted time and decibel limits. The police had been called to enforce festival regulations aimed at ensuring public safety and preventing noise pollution in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that tensions escalated as the youths initially refused to cooperate, leading to a brief standoff before law enforcement managed to control the situation. Authorities emphasized that the measures were necessary to maintain order and ensure that celebrations remained safe for all residents.
