Goa, March 12 -- Here are the latest updates on the train attack in Pakistan today:

Separatist militants targeted the Jaffar Express, a passenger train with approximately 500 individuals on board, in southwestern Pakistan's Balochistan province on Tuesday. Reports indicate that 27 militants have been killed, and 155 passengers have been successfully rescued.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for derailing the train, claiming they overpowered security forces, killed 30 personnel, and captured 214 passengers, including active-duty members, as hostages. However, these assertions have not been independently confirmed.
