Goa, May 7 -- In a fresh escalation of the ongoing conflict, Pakistan's military has confirmed that 26 people were killed and 46 injured in Indian air strikes and cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC). This update comes from Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for Pakistan's armed forces, during an official press briefing.
Earlier, Pakistan had reported eight fatalities, but the number has now been significantly revised upward, reflecting the extent of the damage inflicted during India's ongoing Operation Sindoor-a precision military campaign aimed at neutralizing terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
