Goa, April 29 -- An overspeeding rent-a-car traveling in the wrong lane collided with a retaining wall and struck a scooterist on the Ribandar causeway. The accident, which occurred on April 28, 2025, left the scooter rider injured. The injured individual was immediately rushed to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for medical treatment.

Both the rent-a-car and the scooter sustained significant damage, contributing to traffic congestion in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene. The accident has raised concerns over road safety and traffic management on the busy causeway.
