Goa, Nov. 15 -- More than 1,000 land-related cases, including mutation, mundkar, and tenancy disputes, remain pending across Mamlatdar offices in South Goa, sparking widespread frustration among citizens and legal advocates. These delays are hampering property transactions, loan approvals, subsidy disbursals, and the updating of ownership records, essential for timely and lawful transfers.

Despite directives from the South Goa Collector to clear the backlog through special courts, progress remains sluggish. Some mutation cases in Salcete have reportedly been pending for over a year, causing significant inconvenience for residents trying to complete sale deeds or other essential processes.
