MARGAO, Feb. 8 -- The Colva police have taken action in connection with the case involving the assault on a police constable and staff attached to the Colva police station. Savio Cardozo, a resident of the fourth Ward in Colva, was arrested in connection with the incident.
PSI Deepa Deykar, who is leading the investigation, confirmed Savio's arrest and subsequent release on bail as per the court's directive. However, Jesus Cardozo, the second accused and Savio's brother, has not yet been apprehended.
According to Colva police, both accused individuals threatened the police personnel with serious consequences and damaged the antenna of the police vehicle during the altercation.
