Goa, Dec. 30 -- Tembwada-Morjim beach witnessed another successful Olive Ridley turtle nesting this season, with a turtle laying 135 eggs around 9:30 pm on the 30th. Earlier, another turtle had laid 99 eggs at the same beach, bringing the total number of nests to two so far this season. Conservationists have welcomed the news, especially given the significance of the Morjim coastline, which recorded a total of 206 turtle arrivals last year. These figures underline the beach's vital role in supporting marine biodiversity. Authorities and wildlife enthusiasts continue to monitor the area closely, ensuring that the turtles and their eggs remain protected during this crucial nesting period.
