The Old Mandovi bridge which was closed for repairs was reopened for vehicular traffic on Friday while, the new bridge will now be closed for all types of traffic from March 2 to 10.

Announcing the closure of the new Mandovi bridge, the PWD, works division-(NH) executive engineer stated that the traffic having Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 12.00 tons will be diverted on the Old Mandovi bridge and vehicles having GVW more than 12.00 tons will have to use the Atal Setu, so as to facilitate hindrance free and speedy completion of the said repair work.
