Goa, April 28 -- In a commendable display of urgency and compassion, the Old Goa Police successfully rescued a man from attempting suicide on April 27, 2025. The individual, a resident of Madir, Santa Cruz, was reportedly under severe emotional distress stemming from separation from his wife and daughter, and had been living alone.

The incident came to light when the Panjim Police Control Room (PCR) alerted Old Goa Police at 10:24 AM about a possible suicide attempt. Responding within just 12 minutes, officers reached the man's residence and intervened in time to prevent a hanging attempt.
