Goa, Nov. 14 -- Old Goa Police have intensified their crackdown on unauthorised roadside vendors operating along the Kadamba Highway between Merces and Banastarim. The drive, which began on 13 November 2025, continued through 14 November and is expected to become stricter over the weekend.
Police said the action aims to maintain smooth traffic flow on the busy route, where illegal hawkers frequently cause congestion and inconvenience to commuters. On 13 November, officers detained five vendors selling fish and plastic chairs at the Kadamba Plateau. A day later, another five hawkers were booked near Dhulpae, Corlim, for obstructing traffic while selling chairs and other goods.
