Recognising O Heraldo's tradition of journalistic excellence and credibility built up over the years, Raul Fernandes, the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper, was conferred with The Lifetime Journalism Award (a Special Award in the Media category) at the prestigious Peoples' Awards 2025 held at the House of Commons in London on March 6.

The award recognises Fernandes' contributions to journalism and his leadership in steering O Heraldo, Goa's oldest newspaper, as it celebrates 125 years of publication.
