Goa, Nov. 15 -- An accidental explosion ripped through the Nowgam police station in Srinagar on the night of November 14, 2025, causing the deaths of nine people and injuring 27 others, officials confirmed. The explosion happened while the police and forensic team were extracting samples from a large cache of explosives recovered from the Faridabad terror module tied to the doctors involved in the Red Fort blast case.

Union Home Ministry's Joint Secretary Prashant Lokhande said the explosives were securely stored within the police station's premises and were being handled cautiously under expert supervision.
