Goa, July 28 -- In a recent crackdown on traffic violations, Margao Police seized five motorcycles operating without number plates and fitted with illegally modified silencers, as part of a targeted enforcement drive aimed at curbing noise pollution and unlawful vehicle alterations.

The operation, led by Police Inspector Suraj Samant, focused on motorcycles deliberately stripped of registration plates-making identification difficult-and fitted with silencers altered to produce excessive noise, far beyond permissible legal limits.
