Goa, Jan. 19 -- Goa FDA Minister Vishwajit Rane on Sunday said that no official reports or directives have been received from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India regarding the presence of "fake eggs" in the state or elsewhere in the country. Responding to a question raised by MLA Aleixo Lourenco in the Assembly, Rane said there was no confirmed information suggesting that artificial or fake eggs were being sold in markets. He clarified that the government remains alert and has the necessary provisions to test food products if required.
