Goa, Jan. 10 -- Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane on Tuesday announced that residential complexes with 100 flats or more will not be granted occupancy certificates unless adequate medical facilities are provided. He said developers must ensure the availability of basic medical infrastructure and appoint trained paramedics to handle emergency situations within such housing projects.

Speaking after inaugurating a wellness centre at Sada, Rane said amendments to the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act and Health Acts have already been implemented to enforce the new rule.
