Goa, Nov. 9 -- This year's International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will not have its inaugural ceremony at the Shyama Prasad Stadium. Instead, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will flag off the IFFI parade, which will serve as the festival's opening event. The parade will feature a vibrant mix of carnival and Shigmo floats, highlighting Goa's cultural spirit. ESG Chairperson Delilah Lobo confirmed that the IFFI dates remain unchanged. However, due to the Shyama Prasad Stadium being pre-booked for the FIDE World Cup, organisers opted to transform the traditional opening into a grand parade. The event aims to blend Goa's festive traditions with cinematic celebration, marking a colourful start to this year's film festival.
