Goa, Sept. 4 -- The Command Areas Development (CAD) Board today reviewed the state cabinet's nod to denotify several lakh square meters of land from the Tillari command area at Dhargal, a move linked to projects including Delta Corp's proposed integrated resort.
Board member and MLA Carlos Ferreira asserted that the Goa cabinet cannot bypass the statutory powers of the CAD Board by unilaterally approving denotification of such a vast notified tract. "The cabinet cannot superimpose its decision on the board," he stressed.
Ferreira clarified that while the proposal was part of the meeting's agenda, it was not cleared. Instead, the board has decided to formally notify the proposals, invite public objections, and then take a call.
