Goa, Oct. 28 -- An NGO has raised serious concerns over the growing menace of waste dumping by big-brand stores in Panjim, accusing them of showing complete disregard for pedestrians and civic hygiene. The NGO alleged that several prominent retail outlets in the city routinely dump unwanted packaging materials and cartons on public pavements, obstructing walkways and creating an eyesore in Goa's capital.

Highlighting the issue during Vigilance Awareness Week, the NGO questioned whether the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) would take action against the erring stores. "It's time for the CCP to act. These establishments cannot continue to misuse public space and get away with it," the NGO stated.
