Goa, Nov. 11 -- An NGO in Mapusa has raised alarm over the open sale of chewing tobacco and gutka at the KTC Bus Stand, calling it a blatant violation of the law. The group intervened on Tuesday and forced a vendor selling the banned products to vacate the premises.

The NGO has now urged the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL), the Directorate of Transport, and the Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) to take strict and permanent action against such illegal trade at the busy bus stand.
