Goa, Aug. 5 -- Just two months after its inauguration, a section of Patna's much-hyped double-decker flyover has reportedly sunk following heavy rainfall on Sunday, raising concerns over construction quality. The Rs.422 crore flyover, designed to ease traffic congestion on the ever-busy Ashok Rajpath, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on June 11.
A video shared by ANI shows a large crater on the state capital's first elevated corridor, alarming residents and commuters. The 2.2-kilometre structure stretches from Kargil Chowk at Gandhi Maidan to Science College via Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
