A growing water crisis in Mollar-Nessai has left residents struggling with severe shortages, exacerbated by the use of booster pumps by some households that draw excessive water, leaving those in higher areas without sufficient supply.

In response to the situation, local MLA Cruz Silva has called for immediate action to resolve the issue.

Locals said that piped water is only supplied during the night, when most residents are asleep, making it impossible for them to store enough for daily use.

On Tuesday, MLA Cruz Silva assured the residents that a new pipeline would be laid to resolve the issue once financial approval is granted.
