Goa, July 10 -- The Pernem Mission for Local, a well-known citizens' group, has voiced strong concern over the unexplained delay in inaugurating the newly constructed municipality building in Pernem. Although the building is reportedly complete and ready for use, it remains closed, leaving residents and civic activists frustrated by the lack of access to basic civic services.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the group pointed out that despite the readiness of the new facility, there has been no official move to inaugurate or shift operations from the current, outdated municipal office.
