Goa, Sept. 2 -- The growing camaraderie between Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai and former MLA Naresh Sawal is setting tongues wagging in Bicholim. While there is no official word yet, signs suggest that Sawal, once a strong independent voice, may be eyeing a political comeback under Sardesai's banner.

Independent MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye, who has already joined the BJP and is keen on contesting 2027 on their ticket, has shifted the local political equations. Meanwhile, the Congress continues to lack a strong face, with Meghashyam Raut being among the few still backing the party.
