Goa, June 29 -- A tragic incident at the Junaswada-Mandrem lake in Goa claimed the life of a young Nepali national in a canoe accident. The heartbreaking event occurred when two men, both working as security guards at a nearby hotel, ventured into the lake using an anchored canoe-reportedly without permission or safety precautions.

What may have begun as a brief escape or moment of leisure turned disastrous when the canoe capsized mid-lake. Eyewitnesses and officials confirmed that both men were left struggling in the water, far from the shore. While one of them managed to stay afloat and was rescued by local fishermen alerted by the commotion, the second man could not be saved in time.
