Goa, Sept. 18 -- A 25-year-old Nepal national, Roshan Japrel, was arrested at the Tivim railway station parking lot on Monday after being found in possession of 3.5 kg of ganja worth approximately Rs 3.5 lakh.
A special team from Colvale Police Station intercepted Japrel shortly after his arrival from Mumbai on the Mandovi Express. Acting on prior intelligence, police apprehended him and seized the narcotics, suspected to have been intended for distribution in Goa. Authorities confirmed that Japrel is a repeat offender, having been arrested in 2024 in a similar case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
