Goa, Jan. 9 -- Police have registered a case against a Nepal national residing in Calangute for allegedly using a forged electricity bill to obtain an Aadhaar card. According to officials, the accused submitted the fake power bill at the Indian Overseas Bank branch in Margao as proof of address. The complaint was lodged by a Calangute resident who claimed that the accused later used the Aadhaar card to procure a PAN card without his consent or knowledge. Based on the complaint, police initiated an inquiry and registered an offence related to forgery and misuse of documents.
