India, Feb. 6 -- The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Panaji police arrested an Odisha native after seizing nearly 3 kg of suspected ganja during a late-night raid in Pilerne, Bardez. Acting on specific information, a team led by PSI Francisco Xavier recovered 2.996 kg of ganja, valued at around 1.5 lakh, from the possession of the accused, identified as Bansi. The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Police Inspector, ANC Panaji, along with senior officials, including Dy SP ANC and SP ANC Sunita Sawant. The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. He was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, and has been remanded to seven days of police custody for further investigation....
