India, Feb. 5 -- The Bombay High Court has disposed of a petition concerning the illegal portion of Nazri Beach Resort in Calangute after Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) failed to carry out the demolition as directed.

During the hearing, the resort's owner and BJP MLA Michael Lobo informed the court that he would undertake the demolition of the unauthorised structure himself and complete the process by May 31.

The assurance was recorded by the court, following which the bench closed the petition related to the non-execution of the demolition order by the GCZMA.
