Goa, Oct. 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the first phase of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), India's first fully digital and paperless airport. Located in Panvel, Maharashtra, the airport aims to decongest Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and redefine air travel with advanced digital features ensuring "anxiety-free" flying.
Developed by Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL) in collaboration with the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the Rs.16,700 crore project is designed to handle 20 million passengers annually in its first phase.
