Goa, Nov. 15 -- Mumbai's second airport, the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), inaugurated earlier by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is gearing up for commercial operations. Budget carrier Akasa Air will kick off its first flights from NMIA on 25 December 2025.
In a post on X, Akasa Air said it was "thrilled" to begin services from the newly built airport, with its maiden Delhi-Navi Mumbai flight marking a major milestone. The airline will offer connectivity to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Goa, and Kochi from NMIA.
The first flight to NMIA will arrive from New Delhi. Other carriers, including Air India Express and IndiGo, are also preparing to launch services from the airport by year-end.
