RAIA: Navelim Sporting Club edged past Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 2-1 in the inaugural match of Vaidya Family Memorial Cup organised by Cuncolim Union, at school playground, Cuncolim, on Monday.

Navelim SC opened the scoreline through Velington Almeida with a powerful shot that beat Don Bosco Oratory goalkeeper Clyden Clement in the 22nd minute of play, while Don Bosco Oratory's Charles Miranda shot missed the target by whiskers before the half time.

Navelim SC were leading 1-0 at half time.
