A heartfelt appeal was made to Konkani-loving people to preserve the mother tongue at a mega Konkani musical event held at Telaulim-Navelim, amidst growing concerns about the increasing number of migrants in Goa.
The YMCT Entertainment-Telaulim hosted the Konkani musical event as part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations, which brought together a number of prominent figures, including Konkani singers and tiatr artists.
In his address, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar praised the efforts of Konkani singers and tiatr artists in promoting the language, but expressed concerns about the loss of Goan identity if the language is not preserved in daily life.
