Goa, July 20 -- The Chinchinim-Deussa panchayat, in collaboration with its Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) , Zonal Agriculture Office (AAP) Margao, and Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) - South Goa, conducted a training programme on mushroom cultivation to encourage sustainable farming and income diversification.
The session, led by Agriculture Officer Gauri Prabhudessai, drew participation from local farmers, youth, and self-help group members. Prabhudessai provided practical guidance on species selection, substrate preparation, cultivation techniques, pest management, and post-harvest care. Youth participants also received hands-on training in bag filling.
